How to take care of a hedgehog?

My dad says I might be able to get a hedgehog if I know how to take care of it and what it eats. If you have any good pointers I could use, or anything at all that could be helpful I would love to hear it! Thank you!

    i have had hedgehogs for over 10 years and there is stuff on here even i didnt know.

    Search on google and get books on hedgehog. Don't be an idiot and get a pet without knowing anything about them, thinking that all the answers are on this site. Heck, a little kid could come here and say "you have to cut all of his quills every year so he doesn't hurt himself". I read all the books I could find in my library and all the trusting sites on the internet.

    Simple -- Do research on google before you get another animal that you have no clue on careing for.

    Get an animal that doesn't suck, like a cat, or a bird. Bird's are my favorite.
