What is the difference between websites with .COM .NET or .ORG?

Does one make a website more reliable information wise than another? For example does having .ORG make a website more reliable than a .COM website?

    .com stands for "commercial," and is the most widely used extension in the world. Most businesses prefer a .com domain name because it is a highly recognized symbol for having a business presence on the Internet.

    # .net stands for "network," and is most commonly used by Internet service providers, Web-hosting companies or other businesses that are directly involved in the infrastructure of the Internet. Additionally, some businesses choose domain names with a .net extension for their intranet Websites.

    # .org stands for "organization," and is primarily used by non-profits groups or trade associations.

    # .biz is used for small business Websites.

    All three are domain extensions. There is technically no difference. COM stands for Commercial or Company. NET stands for Network or Internet. ORG stands for Organisation. COM is the most popular.

    typically, dot-com addresses are reserved to those starting a business-oriented or "commercial" website hence the c-o-m like in commercial.

    The domain name net is a generic top-level domain (gTLD) used in the Domain Name System of the Internet. The name is derived from network, indicating its originally intended purpose for organizations involved in networking technologies, such as Internet service providers and other infrastructure companies.

    .org are reserved for those running non-profit organizations.

    reliability is still subject to the person editing the site and where he chooses to get HIS information.

    It has nothing to do with the reliability of the website. They're all gTLD (generic top-level domains)

    .COM = commercial

    .NET = network

    .ORG = organization

    .INFO = information

    so on and so forth

    com = commercial = they try to sell stuff one way or another

    org = organization = usually reliable

    net = network = a bunch of things brought together

    gov = government = info pretty reliable

    co.uk = same as com except british

    and much much more
