How do I stop receiving spam for things I don't need or want, but is sent to recipient@yahoo.com?

Everyday my spam folder is cluttered with commercial offers sent to me using the "recipient@yahoo.com" address.

This is NOT one of my addresses!

Everyday I have to go through them, one by one, before removing them because I need to check if any of them are any I need to unsubscribe to.

How do I stop receiving unwanted offers being sent to me via "recipient@yahoo.com"?

Your address is on the email, its just not viewable. They are using that "recipient@yahoo.com on the TO: line.

Then adding probably hundreds of email addresses on the

BCC ( blind carbon copy) TO : line.

This hides all the addresses the email was sent to.

Youre making several errors along the way, and this is why youre getting more and more spam.>>>>

    1. Never open spam email. It often contains malware/viruses or

hidden code that lets the spammer know theyve reached a good address. That the email was opened. Thus you get more and more, and they often sell your address to ad companies.

    2. Never unsubscribe to an email. Again, this lets them know they have a good address........same process as above.

What you do is go to your inbox page upper right> Options

Mail/More Options> Spam. Block that address.

Mail goes in your spam folder because it is junk. The only reason at all to view your spam folder, is to make sure something hasnt gone in there, in error. Good mail from someone you know.

Otherwise, you should leave it be, as it can be dangerous to your computer...as well as, just annoying. Lots of scams in spam email also. Bogus offers and cons.
