Raising federal minimum wage only brings states that are way behind up to a standard that most other states already have as their minimum wage. Do you know there are still some southern states where the minimum wage is under $3? One cannot survive on that, but a corporation or business sure can make nice profits. It's time people be given a fair wage - who will it hurt? Who will it put out of work? Why would it put them out of work? is it because a higher min. wage will drive employers out? I don't buy that. I believe we as Americans should stand up for the people, not the businesses and corporations killing us finacially/economically for their own edification (profit) Stand up, fight for American people!!! For god sake, get a back bone

We don't need a federal minimum wage increase... we NEED A STRONGER DOLLAR and MORE JOBS. I would have no problem working for a lower wage if I could buy more with that money. What I WILL NOT accept is a wage hike that buys me far less than I was able before because of the inflation it precipitates.
The minimum wage is for fools who have no conception of how supply-side economics works.
There are far too many fools out there sucking down the Keynesian Koolaid with a government issue straw. Madness.

If anything, the minimum wage laws need abolished. They impede the free market from setting a fair wage, both to employer and employee.

On average federal employees make more than the average American private sector worker. Good place to start balancing the debt

Claims that raising the minimum wage results in job loss are unfounded. And fox news is an oxymoron.

It's all about control. Obama doesn't want to help anyone. He wants to control them. Wake up people!
