how do i find my ipod touch in the snow?
so i brought my ipod touch out in the snow to take a picture of us in the snow. I was just playing in the backyard and i put my ipod touch in my pocket. And i went down my porch towards the ground to start building the big snow balls for the snowman me and my family were gonna build. it was me and my brother and my mom only. i didnt go far about 10 feet from the porch to put up the snowman. I took a break and went on my playset to swing. I didnt swing too extreme but when i got out of the swings my ipod touch was missing out my pocket. And also i had my camera in my other pocket which was gone.... although my camera is pink so i found the location. I looked around the same place to see if my ipod touch might have ended up there. but i couldnt seem to find it. I tried to retrace my steps and dig with my hands till i discovered the grass. Here we dont get that much snow, we had about 2-3 inches of snow. and some is melted. It snowed on Christmas and i lost my ipod yesterday... and i cant find it. Ive searched for hours and ive tried to facetime it. but no response its still working because my facetime could actually call it. but my ringer is low so im thinking if i cant hear it then its burried underneath the snow. I dont know what to do i keep looking for it but. if i wait for it to melt. it will be all wet and damaged and i dont have warranty. what should i do??
K. well i keep facetiming my ipod touch to make sure it is okay. Meaning that i keep facetiming it and making sure its available to facetime so that i know that it is still on and working. So far. Its Day 2 and i can still facetime it but i just cant hear the ringer. I was thinking of getting a metal detector at homedepot for like 20 dollars but my parents are pissed at me and i dont know if they'll go out of there way to buy me one. OR if i wait for the snow to melt do u think that if it DID have moisture in it, that i could possibly stick it in rice? or something to get the moisture out?

OMG! my brother found it. Thanks for all the suggestions but the successful conclusion was that my brother wanted to build a snowman at a certain spot and that spot turned out to be where the ipod touch was! Hes a saint. i am so happy and it took about 15 minutes for my ipod touch to recover i used a hairdryer to warm it up a little bit on low it is now up and working normally. This was the 3rd day in the snow! Im am lucky to have a angel brother. Good luck if this ever happens to you. (:
Thanks for all your help <33333

Ouch! Bummer man....all you can do is shovel the whole area bit by bit and hope no moisture got into the device or it's toast.
Hope you find it!!!!!!!

Keep looking, shovel everything until you find it!! I lost mine yesterday at the mall and finaly found it after 10-15 mintues of looking, just keep an eye open. Don't wait for the snow to melt because then it could be in worse damage the longer it's moist.

I'm not sure if this will work, but maybe a metal detector or something? Not one of the really expensive ones (unless you have one that you can use) but just something that beeps when it detects metal. I have a cheap $20 dollar one that I had bought from a toy store in the section where they have the science lab kits and that stuff. I'm not sure if this would work through snow, but maybe it might. I hope you find your iPod!

Call for your ipod touch. Yell out, "Ipod! Ipod!" Ha ha.
Just kidding. Hmmm.....
I know! search in one specific area and take a shovel to shovel a chunk of snow. keep on searching in that area until your done. if you cant find it, look in another area of snow.
GOOD LUCK! Also hurry before the snow melts!

1- Keep looking
2- If you have mobileme set up, you could find it with that.
3- It might already be gone because of the snow/water.
Good luck! :)
