Romo or Roethlisberger?

You can have one of these QBs going forward to build around.

Which one do you choose? Explain.

I take Romo because Ben Roethlisberger has to have his defense to win games and Romos defense isn't as good as the steelers the steelers defense won them the superbowl in 2005 where big ben didn't even throw a td and in 2008 they almost lost to arizona.

Oh my gosh, this is easy. You can either have the most underrated QB in the NFL, or the most overrated QB in the NFL. GIve me Roethlisberger. He may not be flashy, but the guy is clutch and has 2 rings to prove it, 1 of which he won by putting together the greatest final drive i've ever seen. Big Ben any day (and I don't like him at all)

Cowboys fan forever- Did you watch the Super Bowl 2 years ago? Don't get me wrong, at the time I felt the same way that you do about ben. I felt he was decent with a great Defense behind him. But you have to give him props for that final drive against Arizona. 85 yards in 3 minutes, brilliant play after brilliant play. It was incredible. He seems to do that all the time, not just in that game. The guy is clutch. How anybody could prefer Romo over Ben is almost laughable.

I like how all the sudden people say Roethlisberger is a Super Bowl Champion and thats why haha. He had a rating of 22.6 in the Seattle SB and is a Suepr Bowl champion. Myself, Leaf and Jamarcus Russel could have put up a 22.6. Also they were handed the Cardinals one as well. So in all reality, Roethlisberger has never won a Super Bowl. The official already admitted in the Seattle one that he blew the game. Nobody saw that though but me I guess. However, its a very close call. People that say Romo sucks, I dont know where on Earth they get their information from? Hes been in the Pro Bowl three times and look at his win loss record. Look at his numbers. They just say that he sucks because evertyoen hates the Cowboys. With everyone elses logic about these Suepr Bowl titles. I guess Roethlisberger is better then Marino, Kelly and Moon? Come on, use your head for once. I dont knwo why people do not use facts to base their opinions. Its seriously a coin flip for me on this question though. I really do not know who I would take. Its such a close call. Here is a link to the Harrison run back in the Super Bowl that the Steelers "won" that clearly shows Harrisons run back should not have counted. Thats just one of the countless other calls that werent called correctly in Pittsburghs favor. Ask any Steeler fan though and Ill be told "quit crying", "get over it" and the ever popular "your just jealous".

I would personally choose Ben Roethlisberger because he is har to sack and he has been playing for a few years now and has already won like 2 superbowls and every year the Steelers are the team to beat and go to the playoffs. But for Romo he is smaller and the cowboys havn't had the bulk package like the steelers do and romo is easy to knock down and hurt. I would definatly pick Ben Roethlisberger as my Quarterback rather than Tony Romo.

    Have a good day :)

romo and its not even close. on statistics alone, you can make an easy case that he could potentially be a future hall of famer. hes known for not winning the big games, but what no one remembers one of the greatest drives i have ever seen to put cowboys from winning their 1st playoff game in years against the seahawks. he averages over 8 yards a completion (3rd in nfl history), hes had a great winning % in the regular season despite his .500 record in december and by looking at him play, at least in his early years, he reminded me of brett favre. now, on to big ben. hes huge, a guy you want as a qb on your team, physically. hes one of the toughest qbs to tackle. he can probably throw a ball as well as anyone in the nfl. but you said build a football team around. i wouldnt want a qb who constantly gets into legal troubles. also, before this year, he just threw the ball to bring up his stats rather than win the game. last year when the steelers faced the packers, he had 473 yards throwing and only 65 rushing. if i wasnt building a team though, i would probably take rothlisburger.

roethlisberger. he has 2 superbowl rings, he uses his weapons the best he can on the field and he is more accomplished. romo chokes in the playoffs and he isnt that good because he ruins the chances of winning sometimes for his team. in 2004 when maddox got injured roethlisberger went undefeated until the afc championship against the patriots. in 2004 the steelers went 15-1 and in 2003 the steelers went 6-10.

Roethlisberger. He's won something called a Super Bowl. Romo has won something too, the respect of one of the dumbest GM's in the NFL, Jerry Jones.

    Ben

    2 Super Bowls > 1 playoff win

Seriously ? Maybe you should compare Romo to someone more on his skill level , like Carson Palmer , Mark Sanchez , or Kevin Kolb .
