When I cash in my chips and I'm standing in front of the pearly gates, do I have to go in?

Not at all. In fact, those who choose hell would not enjoy the pleasures of heaven since those pleasures essentially flow from a right relationship with God.

if you dont go in, its one hell of a drop to the other alternative.

i don't think you'll have to worry about it. if you don't want to go in, trust me, you'll not find yourself standing there in the first place. you'll be somewhere else.
