PEOPLE WHO WEAR CONTACTS what do you do when you go to a swimming pool park?

so, we are taking this field trip. (around may) to an a pool park (WetnWild) and i was wondering, how am i going to do it? what do you do? i really want to wear them because i feel more comfortable with my contacts, because my eyesight isn't great. its like 45 or something, i'm not sure. i could get around the house and everything, but i often squint. mostly at far away objects. and i personally don't want to be squinting all day. not being able to really see everything well. so, what do you do when you go to these places? thank you :DD

You could probably get by with getting regular swimming goggles and wearing them over your contacts. Since they seal out the water, they seal out the microbes too.

As the other answerer said, you could get prescription swimming goggles, but, if you are not in the water all the time, it might be kind of inconvenient because, you would lose your vision correction any time you are not wearing the goggles. This would require bringing glasses or or trying to put in contacts under conditions which would qualify as "cleanliness challenged".

    Hi!

Well first of all, I know how you feel, I get so mad at my friends when they go to the beach or swimming and they dont have to worry about your contacts getting dry or one of them fallin out! lol But the best advice I would give you is, Wear your contacts but DONT open them under the water its ok if you get a little bit of water in them but be careful, take some eyedrops and an extra pair(you never know!) but when you get home from being outside in the water and sun all day your contacts are going to be very blurry and dry so either put them in solution for a few hours or go ahead and retire them for the day and put your glasses on or if you dont have a pair of glasses, just put a new pair in! itll be ok and just have fun! ive done this alot so dont worry! :)

all swimming pools are a soup of bacteria, urine, feces, sperm and menstrual fluid so you will just be risking it and if you don't mind swimming in other peoples' discharges then go ahead but chlorinated feces and urine are still feces and urine and are rarely caught by any filters, it's amazing how many people get flu like symptoms after going swimming but don't associate the two, if you wear contacts you risk serious eye infection, if you really want to swim get some prescription goggles to protect your eyes
