First, if your son wants to wear a dress without pantyhose or tights, let him. Sometimes the best lessons learned are learned the hard way. Wearing a dress (or skirt) in the winter without wearing a pair of pantyhose or tights will make his legs (and the rest of him) cold very quickly. I know I personally would not wear a dress or skirt in the winter without at least wearing pantyhose or when it's really cold, a pair of tights.

Secondly, he should be thinking of pantyhose or tights as make-up for his legs. A nice pair of tights or pantyhose finishes the outfit, making the wearer look more finished and classy. Yes, I know lots of women prefer the bare-leg look but I've always thought that nearly anytime a woman (or a guy) wears wears a skirt or dress, pantyhose or tights complete the outfit, making the outfit either more sexy or more professional.

Ann, I do not know how your son came to like wearing a dress --- Did you catch him doing it or did he come to you withh his desire? Whether you caught him and it's continued or he came to you with his desires it's a good thing that you are open-minded and willing to support and love him and even encourage his behaviour rather than tell him it's wrong and to not do it. The later will create a desire to do it secretly and create more issues as he grows older. True, he has a fetish that most people will not accept or tolerate but if you love him as he is, he will have a better chance of finding a woman that loves him dressed like she does, in dresses, heels and pantyhose!

YES. Pantyhose are a must for wearing a skirt by both males and females -- it just looks right and he or she won't be looked like they just stepped out of a double wide -- especially in the winter, but maybe not during hot days in the summer -- let him decide. Shaving is important before putting on hose. Don't encourage him to wear hose without shaving first...it's embarrassing and defeats the purpose of the hose, to show off your good looking legs...

I had a female gym teacher who used to do that and I didn't have the heart to tell her it looked horrible, because she was such a nice lady... ;-)

Dresses, and skirts are one of womens best kept secrets from us guys. And Leggings for men are available now, and being marketed as "Megging's". I own several pairs of Leggings, including a couple of pairs of the mens "Megging's". I do prefer the women's juniors size leggings, as they have a much better fit on my body. I also pay close attention to the percentage of Lycra "Spandex" in the material. The more Lycra used in them makes them shiny. Same as with tight's, but much more durable. They are very comfortable, and fun to wear. As a male, when wearing tights, or leggings, he should wear a long top, shorts, or maybe even a skirt, or a short dress if you find one he likes, that covers his buttocks and his man-bump. Help him to have some fun with his clothing.
