I really love reading history, mostly European history. I'm looking for something along the lines of Stacy Shchiff's Cleopatra/Vera or Shirer's Rise and Fall of the Third Reich.
Fiction will also do, but it has to be really accurate.

These are all non-fiction, but the authors tell extremely vivid stories.
