Any Sword of the Stars Artwork available?

This is an old computer game, and I am trying to find a way to see if I can find any of the artwork used in the game online anywhere. The Loading screen artwork is pretty amazing and has some cool illustrations of the races in the game. Is there a location where I can find this artwork, or somehow find it in the game files?

Some of the game art can be found on the fan wiki (linked in sources)

But if you have a copy of the game, you have the art. Go to the install directory of the game. In it, you should find a large .gob file. This package contains all the assets the game uses - it is essentially a .zip or a .rar archive. In fact, your preferred archive app may just open it as is BUT if it doesn't, you can rename the extension to .zip and then you should be able to open it as like any other zip file.

If you're not familiar with this kind of thing, make a copy of the gob file, and play around with that one, so you don't accidentally gibble your installed copy of the game.

In the gob file there should be a GUI directory and in it, a directory of splash-screens, with all the load screen art inside. You'll also find player avatar art, player badge art, and tech tree icons in the same area, so poke around! Copy them out of the archive and you have copies of the art to turn into wallpapers or what-have-you.

Sword of the Stars 2 coming Summer 2011! Woohoo!
