I am having Verizon Fios installed and have ?'s about the internet modem.?

Fios comes with a wireless modem but I have a D-Link Systems DIR-655 (DIR-655 Xtreme N Gigabit Router). What one would be better for me to use I know nothing about the Verizon Modem.

I even have had Verizon Fios internet for over a year now and that's stable. It pissed me off at first having to pay 50 greenbacks a month (my house development in basic terms had Fios) in spite of the incontrovertible fact that that's a lot swifter than the contest that I used for type of ten years (Time warner/Adelphia). i theory that became into quite darn stable until I have been given FIOS. i've got no longer lost an internet connection ever in a year. turn it on and that's continually waiting to velocity away!

you need to use the verizon router, being that yu are using the fios connection which is high and technology i would say to use the verizon fios router because it is build for verizon fios. D Link is meant to be used for universal connection, so its not optimized for verizon, it can be used for it but it is not optimized. So i think you should use verizon modem
