This is more like a debate than a question: Julian Assange and Wikileaks are doing the right thing. Yes or No?

We have accepted lies from our government and politicians, we even joke about it. When what we should be doing is demanding that the deceptions stop. Hopefully this is a step in that direction. There are already more organizations starting up that claim that they will do the same as wikileaks. In addition there is a move on the internet, to make systems that government censors can't shut down like they tried to do with wikileaks.

Unfortunately there's websites being shut down this week that allow for file sharing. The US government is trying quietly to close the sites you could use to share files like the wikileaks documents if the main site was blocked.

In addition they are trying to pass legislation, referred to as "Net Neutrality" that they claim is to make policies regarding access to good internet connections more fair, but actually hides a bunch of new regulations that make censoring the net easier. It's typical Amerikan politics, you hide something foul and immoral inside a bill or law that seems needed and which the public will vote for. Then sneak in more limits to freedom.

We can hope that enough people will see this cover up for what it is.

I wouldn't have as much of a problem with it if the whole thing wasn't agenda driven, why is it just the US he's focused on?, because he has an agenda and that's what he's stated, to stop the war in Afghanistan and Iraq. If you want to show what people are doing don't do it selectively.

No he is not doing the right thing. He has gotten information that is classified as "Top Secret" and that is not something that should be put out anywhere on the net.

He is a self proclaimed anarchist and someone who in his own words to destroy the USA.

Absolutely yes. People have a right to know what there governments are doing. People shouldn't be afraid of their government, governments should be afraid of their people.
