what is wrong with this person <:(?

i once went to a neighborhood with boyscouts to collect cans for the food drive, and that town was screwed up..half the people didn't speak English, and a lot of other houses were falling down...there was this one house that had Halloween pumpkins and lit candles outside (in the summer)

and i went to this one guys house

he was real nice, but he sounded like an ant eater on a megaphone with a busted speaker, kinda like in that episode of south park where Britney Spears shot her head off with a shotgun and the doctors saved her and her voice was all weird...that's what this man sounded like, you literally couldn't make out a word he said, it couldn't have been a stroke, because he acted as if he didn't even know it. he was like 40 years old so i seriously doubt it was a prank (he didn't bat an eye if it was) he was happy, he read the creamed corn and Lima bean cans to me, "yabala blaba dabba bladbo dooooblll,..." i was creeped out but i didn't act like anything was wrong i didn't want to offend him. he had no birth defects, he wasn't retarded, in fact everything seemed fine with him except that speech part of him.

what does this guy have?

Despite what you might think, this man could have had a stroke or head injury resulting in speech which sounded like gibberish to you. Don't forget there can be a disconnect between what is thought and the sounds which are produced.

The man could have had a hearing loss so profound that the produced the sounds as he thought they should be pronounced but which you could not understand.

There are some psychological issues which he might have and there are other medical conditions which can cause unintelligible speech as a symptom.

I think at your age you might not have the experience or training to recognize other symptoms of the variety of medical causes which could produce such a symptom. This symptom was obvious so naturally you were abe to witness it

Of course, he could have been putting you on...
