i dont know what, it just feels like something is changing. the climate? peoples overall attitudes about faith? and earthquakes? i do think this year had more quakes than other years. and the usgs.gov site backs that up. or is it just me. and my overly sensitive self.

I feel nothing, feelings are quite subjective and thus unreliable if want know truth. This year not have most earthquakes, just have more publicity of them. Is just you and overly-subjective feelings.

I see it too but it isn't the end of the world.

I am 62 now. This is perhaps the 20th end of the world that I have been through.

I will tell you exactly what to expect. The morning after the end of the world, the sun will come up the birds will start chirping people will get out of their beds an get ready for work. Moms will hug their Kids and everything will pretty much be like it was the day before the end of the world.

Only one thing will be different. All of the people who were talking about it as though it was real will be saying that they knew that it was not really going to happen.

The day after that there will be a new date for the end of the world predicted, and those same people will be talking about how it is real.

Well there have always been earthquakes, volcanoes, and floods. There always seems to be some big tragedy somewhere in the world every day of the year. Yes, there have been a few more quakes this year than some, but there have been other years like that too.

I think its just pure coincidence myself, but I don't think your crazy for thinking that way. I pondered it myself and I just said, naa, just a coincidence.

You could be right, you could be wrong. No one knows. No one will ever know when the end of the world will be. It's just something we were never meant to know, like the truth about God, or what happens when we die. I think its just all too big for us to comprehend.

Nothing out of the ordinary is going to occur in 2012 (i.e. total destruction of the world.) It as been discovered that the dates on the Mayan calendar have been misinterpreted by 50-100 years. So relax and stop stressing over it. That's why you "feel a change in the air", just your stress.

I don't know if it is true or not or if I hold any belief in it. I do know we live on a unpredictable planet in a universe that has it's own cycle and laws to live by. It will do what it needs to do and if we just happen to be inhabiting it at the time we will know then and some will survive and some won't or maybe none will - then life will find a way to keep going - that is what it does.

The climate is changing, and attitudes are changing, so that's no surprise. Also, if you pay close attention to social climates, political climates, and the turning of the year, you become aware of small constant changes that most people never notice.

That's always true. It doesn't mean there's something epochally special about 2012.

I really don't believe it. They have predicted that the world will end over 70 times! It was wrong every time. I know somebody whose father went out into a forest with guns and food waiting for it to happen (last time they predicted) and he just waited and nothing happened. I say we should just live our life and not think about it much.

i think something big is gonna happen, not what they say will happen but something big. probably involving war and food shortages the result in war(or something else tragic). all i know is that there has been a change in climate(not severe though) and the state of the major world powers(yes america is not the only one just the biggest).

Oh dear. It's because the ancient Mayan calendar appears to run out then. Get yourself a coffee, make yourself comfortable, and then follow this link, which is quite interesting.
