Why do people hate John Cena?

When he's out of the ring he's great.

I initially disliked Cena because he on tv was the one who turned the WWE title into a spinner & I took great offence to that like it was spitting on past champions & it took prestigud away from the title in my view.

I got over that & dint have a problem with him after one night stand in the official ECW arena in Philly, Cena handled the fans like a pro which i respected.

I don't hate Cena, I am fed up of his childish character, his OTT reactions & exaggerated facial expressions cos he has no idea on how to act naturally through emotion, its like he just follows the script & that takes away from his matches & storylines which as a viewer I get involved in but with Cena I find it hard to for that reason.

Cena is marketed towards kids, the people who don't like Cena are above that level of maturity.

Like he's a role model for kids but encouraging kids to tell fat jokes to fat people, Vickie weren't even fat. Cena has the power backstage to say no to that, he didn't do.

I think that the reason a lot of people hate Cena is that he plays the good boy to good and not only that but he always has to be the center of attention no matter what the storyline. They need to give other wrestlers the spotlight every now and then.

I am a Cena fan. However, I just starting to hate him 4 keeping the belt too long and the predictable matches he is wrestling in.

I think his answer is nice and detailed and goes over all of the points of why people despise Cena.

Because he is a baby face. I separate the "on-air tv" personality from the man who does the "charity work". My hate is based on his tv character which over time has been well a one sided affair. The good guy can't win all the time but has to win the war at the end....oh and his move set is too restricting and predictable.

They don't hate John Cena the person (atleast I hope they don't). They hate his character who is very stale right now, and he is being used way to much..

A person in his position should be used as a guy to make new people, but people never gets to go over on him.. So who they really hate is the creative team who thinks doing what they do with Cena is a good idea..

I not hate him personally i just hate his character. He is the kiddy champ and thinks he owns the place. He criticizes anyone he faces (cm punk sheamus nexus etc.) After he wins the match he continues to attack the person he is facing (Wade Barrett) WWE always lets him win (if they dont someone somehow interferes) and he obviously doesnt deserve anything.

People that hate John Cena are just jealous of the fact that he can single-handedly carry a company on his own shoulders, while their favorite wrestler can't. Although I really don't think anyone hate John Cena as a person, only his current character. Kids and women admire him, while most men dislike him because his character is supposed to appeal to a younger audience.

Women on the other hand pretty much love him because of his body.

All u metion was outside the ring. Inside the ring is different. People hated him 5 moves, his gimmick, and always winning (enless it Orton)

i just asked that like 3 days ago! but i am guessing because they are jealous or they just hate his gimmick or the fact that fans praise hm all the time. and yes he is awesome,funny,nice,cool, did i mention awesome?
