Christians, in regards to split-brain patients where one half is atheist, does half of their brain go to hell?

There are people with split-brains. In other words, their corpus callosum is damaged to some degree and there is no communication between the two hemispheres of the brain.

In some cases, one side of the brain will be atheist and the other half will be Christian.

When they die, does half of the person go to hell and the other half go to heaven, or how does that work, exactly?

Update:

@Craig: So in the case of these atheist/Christian split-brain patients, do they have two souls and spirits then? They simultaneously believe and disbelieve in God at the same time, so there isn't one underlying spirit that is tying them together, so there goes your theory. Try again.

You start at the false assumption that the brain decides whether we go to heaven and hell. The brain only provides assent in the matter, but it is the spirit of a person which is born again. Every person has a body, soul(feelings, emotions, etc.) and spirit. Just as water comes in liquid, vapor and ice, so a person has three parts made in the image of God.

  • Do you have some citation for these split brain patients? Even though the corpus callosum is severed, these people typically feel themselves to be one person so I'm not at all sure how they would maintain two opposing beliefs.

hi! i'm a pastor. i think that our God is merciful and understanding. people who psychological themes like this or that avert them from being waiting to make a rational decision are saved. additionally, the Bible tells us that as quickly as somebody has not heard of God/Jesus, they're judged via their judgment of right and incorrect somewhat than their particular ideals. This is going for all of us who has not heard approximately Christianity interior the right way (compelled conversions), for aborted toddlers, and for toddlers who die earlier they're the right age to somewhat have self belief or not have self belief in God/Jesus, besides as people who on no account heard approximately God/Jesus in any respect. Romans 2:12-sixteen - "All who sin apart from the regulation will additionally perish apart from the regulation, and all who sin below the regulation would be judged via the regulation. 13 For it is not people who pay attention the regulation who're righteous in God’s sight, besides the undeniable fact that it somewhat is people who obey the regulation who would be declared righteous. 14 (certainly, while Gentiles, who have not got the regulation, do via nature issues required via the regulation, they're a regulation for themselves, even although they have not got the regulation, 15 because of fact that they coach that the standards of the regulation are written on their hearts, their consciences additionally bearing witness, and their techniques now accusing, now even protecting them.) sixteen this might ensue on the day while God will decide men’s secrets and techniques by Jesus Christ, as my gospel pronounces."
