my windows media player isnt letting me play mp3 files, it says that it doesnt support the file type.?

what do i do?! my friend emailed me a mp3 file and my uncle burned that onto a CD from windows media player, but no when i try to play my mp3 file it wont let me, so i cant sync or anything.

PLEASE HELP!!!

    I'm not sure why your WMP isn't playing mp3 files. It is a supported file type. To get around it try to drag and drop the mp3 file onto Internet Explorer. See if it will play through there...
