I was recently diagnosed as having a bicornuate uterus in the process of diagnosing some other issues. I have had three children without any problems and the doctor who diagnosed me was surprised that I was totally unaware of my condition. I have been told that women with bicornuate uterus are often at increased risk for preterm labor and/or miscarriage. Whether or not it causes problems may be related to the degree of the uterine malformation.

Is your current physician/specialist aware of the diagnosis? I would explore the issue further with them to see if you can determine the degree of your problem and ascertain whether it may be a cause of your repeated miscarriages. Bicornuate uterus is sometimes confused with a septate uterus because they can look similar on imaging, but treatment is different so correct diagnosis is crucial.
