Can you make internet wireless by plugging a router into your modem?
I have charter internet and cable, i have a black box coming from a tv cable from my wall that gives me internet; i guess its a modem. Can i plug a wireless router into my modem to make it wireless internet without going through charters wireless interenet?

not sure, charters may block it somehow to made you pay more. this is mine. outside cable plugs into a external modem, then cable with two ends like phone jacks little larger plug into modem and wireless router. computer will look for connection, you will have to run the router software so computer has right numbers. and set up a pass phase. just mine other ways for sure.

Yes, that is how it is done unless they provide you with a Wireless Connection which they will be in control of. I would recommend a Linksys-Cisco E-3000
