Soul Silver: Espeon vs. Umbreon?

I'd probably go with Umbreon. Espeon is great, and it has nice stats with a good move pool, but its more suited for the specific role of a calm mind passer. Umbreon, while a defensive Pokemon, is alot more lenient in terms of move pool, and with moves like Wish, Heal Bell, and Moonlight, its an excellent healer/special wall on your team if you don't already have one. Unless your planning to battle competitively with other players, go with Umbreon, its easier to manage and will help you on your way to beating the elite four.

I love them both but umbreon being a dark type only is effective aginst one or two types and is weaker to more types than it is actually good against. Espeon on the other hand has phsycic moves which personnaly I think are more powerfull and they can heal themselves with certain moves. I Guess in the end it comes down to your preference At level 100, Umbreon and Espeon have very high stats, but some of Espeon's are higher than Umbreon's and vice-versa.

I have an umbreon but I traded to get both =)
