What do you think of the name Raven Phoenix for a baby boy? I keep reading that only girls are named Raven.?

Please...I need to know your thoughts on the name Raven for a boy. Last name is Funk. I need something with an 'n' at the end..so that it goes well with our very unique last name. I want something beautiful..and that has to do with nature. I do not care in the least bit about the likeness to River Phoenix. Raven is a much prettier name than River in my opinion. and his last name won't be Phoenix it will be his middle name so it is not much of an issue. The raven is the most beautiful and smartest bird in my opinion. It is my favorite bird and I always thought I'd use it for a girl's name..however a girl is not what I'm getting!! Phoenix is also a bird that represents immortality..so I thought the two worked great together! Please give me your ideas and suggestions!!

yea, not really liking Raven for a boy..sounds too much like it came off a soap...lol
How about Kaden Phoenix Funk...that sounds good together.

Plus Raven and Phoenix are both birds..or bird like..I'd go with something else..your son may not appreciate such an unusual name...something to think about...Skye is a good name and not too unusual.??

i like unique names alot but im not crazy about this. i do think that raven is a girls name and i don't like the fact that the kid will have two birds in his name

Although it is a really nice name, it is a little too feminine.
You even described it as "prettier" and "beautiful" which are very girly.
In high school, I don't think he will appreciate having a feminine name. Trust me, I have a friend with a girly name and he has been given greif all throughout school.

Raven is not manly in any way.
He will get made fun of for the name Raven Funk. srry but its the truth, imma kid and i know how kids are.

it makes me think of that show, "That's So Raven". don't do it. How about the name, Skylar? You can make it Skylar Phoenix Funk. I find Funk a strange name. I hope he doesn't get teased "get your funk on", lol.

i love the name phoenix for both boy and girl. i am not too fond of raven but i think it could work for both boy and girl again. i think they work together

I say go with it!
 Personally i love river pheonix's name. river pheonix was cool even with his name.
Raven doesnt scream girls name to me even though its usually girls with the name raven.
Raven Pheonix Funk - Thats a pretty awesome name  i say stick with it.
