If you are out of work, or have family members who are,?

do you find it a little disturbing that the leader of the free world, not only finds time to take so many family vactions and play basketball games, but in a 2 year span, he plays 56 rounds of golf? 56!!!!!!!

Did you think the leader of the free world would have a little less time during this economic disaster?

How much does a round of golf cost with all those staffers, assistants and security? Think of all of their travel and food costs for these trips!

Can we really afford this?

Update:

Since you asked, Bush gave up golf when troops went to Iraq and did not play another round. How old did you say you were?

My husband has been out of work for a year and a half. No, I have no problem with a man who is on duty 24/7/365 playing some golf when he can. He is not neglecting anything and it may be the only times he gets a free breath, although he can be contacted anywhere, so it must be nerve-wracking to try to pretend he's relaxing. He has taken far less vacations than the last president who shall remain nameless. I'm not sure how far you think he has to travel to get to a golf course in DC. It would certainly not cost any more than a trip to the Pentagon or anywhere else in the vicinity.

But aren't you people the ones who complain about liberals envying the rich? So because he has the money to vacation and play golf, you think he's acting up when he does so? BTW, you do realize that 56 round of golf over a two year period is slightly over twice a month. Seem real excessive to you?

I agree with 'mommanuke is back'. I do not begrudge the POTUS a round or two of golf or a Christmas vacation. He is on call 24/7/365 days a year.

Yes, I have quite a few friends and family not working ! Some have been out of work as long as 2 years. the big problem is , that Obama does not know how to get the country back on its feet. the government does not create JOBS. The government spends money, not the other way around.

It is really sad that the man spends so heavily , when some people are losing their homes, don't have enough to eat etc....

I was a little disgusted to see Obama at the Honours concert the other night with Oprah Winfrey, Sir Paul McCartney, etc., etc., The whole thing just reeked of elitism and ostentation. How much recognition do these people need? Isn't counting their money enough, or do they have to BEG for more attention? I for one am getting sick of hearing Beatles songs over and over after nearly 50 years. I mean come on Boomers, quit being so self-absorbed and get off the Botox and hair dye. All of them looked like a bunch of flakes; effete geeks. And yes, I am a liberal and I do have family members who are out of work.

Hey, being the President of the USA is the toughest job in the world. I know the "Libs" never gave Bush a break, but they don't know better, you're better than that. So let him have his vacations.

I have family out of work. Yes, I agree with you about Obama. But remember he is using the Cloward and Pivin Strategy to break America so the communists can take over.

He furthers this by giving secret monies to ACORN, using Gov't Agencies.

No, I don't find it disturbing. Btw, your statement that "Bush gave up golf when troops went to Iraq" is not true. Bush claimed to have given up golf after the UN headquarters in Baghdad was bombed in August 2003. However, that was a lie, as he continued playing golf after that.

    You feel he's a jerk

    'Cause you're out of work

    And he's on vacation

    Not leading the nation

He feels that that is his perk.
