PP 5+ weeks. Can you answer my TMI question?
As I said, I'm postpartum a little over 5 weeks. Since Monday, I have had horrible stomach cramps and diarrhea. Not bad enough to keep me hovering over a toilet or anything, but certainly nothing fun, attractive, or good-smelling.
I've tried pretty much everything. Children's pepto (safe for nursing, unlike the grown-up version) as well as Imodium. I've even tried eating more cheese than usual. Being plugged up would be better than this at this point.
Do you have any ideas on how to rid myself of this diarrhea and stomach cramps? I'm getting to the point that no matter how much water I drink, I'm getting dehydrated, and it's affecting my milk production.
Plus, well, I feel like crap.

It sounds like you have a stomach bug so all you really can do at this point is let it pass. Luckily they don't live very long. I hope you feel better soon and I am sorry you feel bad and that it is effecting your milk production.

I had this after I had my daughter. They gave me pain meds that helped clog me up, which I wasn't made about and the meds stopped the pain. They gave me vicodin, safe while breastfeeding. They make toddler meds when they have diarrhea and that's safe, I get the kind that come in desolving strips so you don't have any gross meds to take. I hope this helps, I'm gonna go get my list of foods to clog you up that I got from the doctors. Good luck
