Why are Christians so vengeful towards nonbelievers? Why do they delight in the idea that they will?
mysteriously float to heaven while the rest rot in hell? Why can't they understand that the concept of hell makes their god evil? I don't understand why they still think this way. Can anyone explain?

Because all their intolerance, hatred, bigotry and persecution leaves no place for the idea of a loving god!

God wishes that no one should perish. Christians should be like minded...
The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.

Christians who want others to go hell, are the Christians who are possessed. And yes a Christian can be possessed. If a Christian is not forgiving, then God will not forgive that Christian. That Christian has Satan in his heart. I use to be one of those Christians. But then I asked God to plant seeds of Forgiveness in my heart. I feel the Holy Spirit really strong now.

Well, almost everyone likes being right (as they see it) while others are wrong.
And much they get from the bible, which they are supposed to agree with.
According to Romans 1 I am a complete moral monster.
Yours,
futile, foolish, sinful, impure, degraded, lustful, indecent, perverted, depraved in mind, wicked, evil, greedy, envious, murderous, strifeful, deceitful, malicious, gossiping, slanderous, insolent, arrogant, boastful, disobedient to parents, senseless, faithless, heartless, ruthless.
(And I've missed a few, if Paul and the bible are right. If)
All because I don't find God obvious in nature and the night sky.
Personally, I've always been able to see at the very least the clear possibility of a cold, indifferent universe.

The reality is that many of these Christians will not be going to heaven, for they have the wrong faith and the wrong gospel. They all still have sin, and as such, no sinners will be allowed into heaven.
Jesus said, 'Many are called but few are chosen." This means, God calls all men to repentance and to believe in His true gospel that makes them righteous by faith, but few only listen and obey.
