Possibly and I would say Yes, Any time spent kneeling before the god of drugs is time spent with your back towards the God of the Bible.
In summary, the Bible teaches us that “denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in this present world” (Titus 2:12).

I don´t know if anyone has died from it, but I bet there are people who will never be the same ever again mentally - strong hallucinogens in a too-high dose can really damage some people for life - I know of more than one person turned crazy permanently after a bad LSD trip.
