But grrr to him "torrenting". That game is so cheap now, there is no excuse not to buy it.

Awesome, pirates make the world interesting to live in!!!!!! So, this "friend" of yours, *wink* *wink* can just be informed that yes, mods will work on a torrented Oblivion, and if that Oblivion is a recent-enough version, the Construction Set will also work for it.
