My dog has had 2 seizures 15 hours apart?

Hes always been a goofy dawg. Afraid of his own shadow, jittery, weird ticks and stuff he has and habits. Yesterday he had a seizure in the late afternoon and another early this morning. Hes been drinking SO MUCH water and thats odd. Hes been eating and everything regularly. He seems even more jittery than normal afterwards.

What do you think is wrong?

Update:

My parents won't let me.

OK so if you were to have two unexplained seizures out of the blue wouldn't you be going to the doctor??? YOU NEED TO TAKE THE DOG TO A VETERINARIAN, I DO NOT CARE IF YOUR PARENTS SAY NO!!! Quite frankly when they bought/adopted the dog they agreed to provide appropriate veterinary care. If they cannot provide this care your parents need to be responsible and surrender the dog to a shelter where it will either get veterinary care or be humanely euthanized to prevent it suffering from these seizures. At this point they are committing the crime of animal neglect and could very well be charged as such if they refuse to give the animal appropriate care.

Ignore your parents and take him yourself, or keep insisting that your parents let you. Offer to have no pocket money (allowance) for whatever amount of time if you have to, or offer to help with the housework etc much more for whatever amount of time because of the vet fees, but get him to a vet.

Obviously dogs and gerbils are different but my bro's gerbil had seizures -and she got worse and worse- and when he finally took her to a good vet, the vet managed to help. Another vet wanted to put her down (kill her) - PetMedics, don't use them!

Vets fees can be very expensive. What country are you in? You may be able to find somewhere that can help (if you are in either the UK or the USA) on the website http://www.croad.jimdo.com/

    Your dog might have epilepsy.

I had a dog with canine epilepsy and we were able to treat it without using any anti-epilepsy drugs. Our treatment had to do with a major change in nutrition and worked so well that he didn't have a seizure over the final 5 years of his life. Here are some resources that will help you:

PLEASE LET YOUR PARENTS READ THIS FOR YOUR DOG'S SAKE:The constant need of drinking water is a symptom of diabetes. Has he been urinating constantly as well? If he has, this is the result of the need of water. The seizures scare me terribly and you need to get your dog to the veterinary hospital tonight. The seizures could be a cause of a brain tumor or the most common cause, canine epilepsy, which means you dog may be struggling with his brain functioning. If he does have diabetes, and I pray to God that he does not, he will be fine if you listen and do what the veterinarian tell you and YOU MUST. The veterinarian will provide you with the trust of giving him insulin injections daily and a daily dietary control plan. Please comfort your dog and take great care of him. TAKE HIM TO THE VETERINARY HOSPITAL TONIGHT..you do not want to lose him. My prayers and blessings for your dog.

What are you doing?? If you can't take him to the vet for something this extreme you don't deserve to be an owner. Take him to the vet NOW.

It might be kidney failure. The symptoms are the same for both cats and dogs so I know the symptoms pretty well since I lost two cats to kidney failure. Is your dog skinny even though he eats fine? What kind of food is he getting? Does it contain high amounts of protein? It's extremely important that he doesn't get protein or if so a VERY small amount. You should take him to the vet immediately!

What's wrong is he's having seizures and his owner hasn't yet bothered to get him to a vet for help. Rather than waiting for brain damage, get this dog to the vet.
