Is Russia a good place to see?
How much is it (rough estimate) that you would need in US dollars to spend a 3 week holiday in Russia (Moscow) with a family of 2 adults and 2 kids? What are other places that are must-see than Moscow? Any general information would also be appreciated.

as i know must be special trawellers forums,where your family can find another family,wich can invite you to live in theyr flat for free.But it must be safe and comfortable,and i think there are no big problem.I can advise you look for people in forums ,such as at mail.ru etc.hotels in Moscow crazy expensive and service not perfect.also awfull trafficjam-for example once from "podbelskogo"(north-east Moscow)to "Solntsevo"-south end of sity it take me 5 hours in daytime.
in Russia probably better to see Baykal lake.
sometimes Moscow is funny place,but suburbs like Barviha,Javoronki is even better.better to rent a car and drive around by nights(if children allowed to stay awake late?)
