    Not many.

    But there is a reason.

Most Represenatives average age is around 55 years old, so that makes their children around 30 to 35 years old.

So unless thier children were career military, they would not be serving.

And the media never reports on if their children had served before they became representatives.

    2. For senators its even worse, since the average senator is around 63 years old, so thier children are in the mid to late 30's.

3, Thr real isse is, the lack of congressmen with military service, it has decreased every election for the last 20 years.

Talk about a personal decision. Amazing young men, who could have done anything with their lives, but have chosen to join the U.S. Military.

*Former Senator & Attorney General John Ashcroft (R- MO)

His son, Andy, is in the Navy and has served in the GulF in support of the Afghanistan and Iraq Wars.

This is a little known fact, because Ashcroft did not want to bring unwanted attention to his son and of course the left-leaning media never did a story on it, because that would hurt their agenda of hurting him.

At least those "poor kids from Detroit & Cleveland" aren't on public assistance. I would bet if you asked them, they would be proud to say that they are serving their Country & do not have the negative feelings that a 'do-nothing' does...I am proud of them all...whether they are clearing dangerous buildings or preparing meals...they are one big team...people to be proud of.

The Palin kid can't get TLC. He is upset about the conditions there.

His mother, however, is proud that he sends the disenfranchised into harm's way.
