Ok: Hello ya'll big question about finding a partner to play board games with on line?
You see, I was told by a friend to go to yahoo messenger, go to chat; click on Games; and ask to see if anyone wants to play a board game by inviting them by choosing a game on the chat line. I did just that, however the results... Well! The results were that I got sexual offers; people young girls wanting me to check them out on u-tube as they exposed themselves, and to have people watch them naked; More to the point (if someone did that at the city/county park they would be in jail for flashing... So enough about that...
But the thing is no one wanted to play word games or chess. Or any other board game for that matter... My question is how to you find people to play board games with online without all this nonsense...?
The good people at Yahoo messenger have gone out of their way for entertainment of their chat-line customers, by putting some board games online to play while chatting and having a nice visit with others local or half a world away...
Then, just to be muddied up by idiots who like to pollute the cyberspace chat line.
So bottom line… I just want to find out if there is a way to achieve my goal of playing board games on the chat line without having to tread knee deep in cyber lewdness?

I play chess online with some friends whom I know at:
"Play Chess Online for Free - Chess.com" http://www.chess.com/
It is a good environment for playing chess.
You can agree to take a break; your game will still be in progress.
There is a "get PGN" option for your game(s).
At a slow pace, you can have several games at once.
There is nothing to download.
You can also find find a partner with whom to play board games online
at Yahoo! Games: http://games.yahoo.com/board-games
and at BoardGames.com http://www.boardgames.com/
