If you are a Christian, and believe in God and what he had written in the bible?

I agree!!!!!! I think its because they are a lot of Fakes here that claim to know the Lord, but they don't really know him or act like him!!!!! We'll see Love, Joy, Peace, Forgiveness, Compassion all the time when we leave this world! Now we are blessed if we see it Once a year!!!!! Or if we show it ourselves!!!! I can't wait till this is all over with!!!!!!!!! Be Blessed and try your best live in this terrible world full of hate, greed, Evil etc.

Enough said? Your right though..myself I hold fellow Christians to a higher standard than non believers because of our beliefs..I don't understand how anyone can say they are Christians then turn around and say some of the things I see them state on this site..it's not at all what Jesus would do.

Ah, but it is so often the other way around - the slanderous statements and hate is frequently vented upon believers in God and the Bible! Of course, people who disregard God and laugh at the idea he could have a written record of his dealings with us are under no obligation whatsoever to be loving, peaceful, forgiving and compassionate towards those whose faith they consider to be stupid. You are right to point out that Christians show demonstrate love, joy, peace, forgiveness and compassion. Therefore, I lovingly forgive all those who hate me, wishing them only to find joy and peace through the compassionate self-sacrifice of Jesus Christ. (How many thumbs down will that attract?)

It's important to remember that we shouldn't generalize. Not everyone who calls himself or herself a Christian truly is one. Since we judge a tree by its fruit, we should use a person's actions, attitudes, words, &c. (their "fruits") to determine whether or not they practice the Christianity they claim to follow. Furthermore, there are deceitful people who purposefully lie about being Christians (wolves in sheep's clothing) and people who openly are not Christians. Don't worry about trying to label people in order to deal with them; take them individually. Yet, as long as we treat others with love, compassion, and respect, and try to foster those attitudes in others, we're doing all we can.

Love- when a christian TELLS the atheist how foolish they are

Joy- when an atheist turns from his foolishness

Peace- A christian learning to accept that some atheists are complete fools.

Forgiveness- A christians response to an atheist about what causes their peace.

Compassion- Why we are here.

Atheists expect christians to maintain principles written about in the bible that they do NOT believe in and attack when they do not receive it.....We are brothers and sisters in faith. if you are a true christian...and you truly believe in God...and you truly believe what He wrote in the Bible then there shouldnt be those slanderous statements and hate...God taught us to love one another...we are not to hate each other...its sad that people do that

I think you may be new to R & S. The slander and hate has been, basically, from atheist mockers against Christians of ALL denominations and segments.

Free will makes things interesting. Also, you need to remember that all people are NOT Christians here who say they are Christians. Also, we are on different level of maturity with our Christian faith.
