Frustrated writer, turning Yahoo answers editor?

That's me. It's a bit of a curse, to actually enjoy editing, picking over sentences to see why they don't work, measuring the pacing of a story, all that... and not to be able to write yourself.

Is it like that for anyone else here? if not, what makes you come here and review other's writing?

It's easier to critic someone else's work than your own.

Which is why I come here and critic others' work. I see their mistakes easier than I see mine and so when I go back to my own work, I remember I told such or such person to fix such or such thing and I need to fix that too in my own work. I also like to read what others say and use that too. I don't have the courage to share my own work yet, so that's a first step for me.

I try and be helpful, fair and indulgent though. I don't have the b*lls to share my own work so I'm not about to rip through someone else's just yet!

I have better things to do than edit other people's work. Not to mention I lack the energy and patience to deal with most wannabe writers here considering many get their panties in a knot if you're not praising them. Snarky answers I can do. Editing, not so much.

By the way, if you're going to call yourself an editor, then it might be a good idea for you to write Yahoo! Answers correctly. =)
