Do Not Have Proofing Tools In Microsoft Office 2007?

I got a new laptop about a year ago with the operating system 'Windows 7 Home Premium' I have been using Microsoft Office 2003 for the last year but I started getting work(from school) that will only work in Microsoft Office 2007, I though my laptop already had this, along side Microsoft Office 2003, but after a couple of goes it stopped working and turned out to be a trial. I uninstalled this trial and bought the full version of Microsoft Office 2007 Standard but when i use it there is no spellchecker and when i click on it, it says 'Cannot find proofing tools for English(United Kingdom)...' i have uninstalled it and then reinstalled it; custom re-installed it; clicked add feature but every time I do i still get the same message.

Is there anything I can do about this. Anyone had similar problems and is there anywhere else I can go for help?

Thanks.

If you google your problem you can see that this does not appear to be uncommon and there are a lot of different solutions (some easier than others). One of the "easier" suggestions is:

It seems that Office 2007 disables the English dictionary because it causes problems with Outlook Express. To turn the dictionary back on go to:

    Microsoft Office Button>

    Word Options>

    Ad Ins>

    Manage (select disabled items)>

Click on the english dictionary and re-enable it>

    Close Word and restart.

which might be a worth a go
