No signs saying no cameras allowed but got in trouble for taking pictures?
Ok so my family and I recently visited the Matthew Knight Arena in Eugene Oregon to see Jeff Dunham live. Now when we get there, there is nothing on our ticket, nothing on the website, not even a sign posted on the doors, stating NO CAMERAS ALLOWED. Ok so we are sitting there enjoying the show...using a cell phone to take a few pictures, when all of the sudden the are usher rudely flashing lights in our face, telling us that if we don't' stop taking pictures we will be escorted out. Our cell phones don't have flash photography on them...Hundreds of people around us were using cameras with flash....but it seemed they singled us out...No my question is... How can someone tell me I can't take pictures when there are NO signs posted ANYWHERE saying I can't?

The owners can enforce any rule they want on their property. There is no law which states that they must post signs telling people no cameras are allowed. Their house; their rules. Your house; your rules. Example: I have friends who don't allow smoking in their homes and they don't have "no smoking" signs. Does that mean that I can smoke? No. Same thing.

Jeff Dunham? What a hot ticket! The usher was trying to save you the embarrassment of sending such pictures to your friends.

They can set the rules they want, doesn't matter if there are signs. Maybe the people who were taking pictures had permission.
