Should the Queen recognize the granny who stopped a jewelry heist February 7, 2011?

This 75-year-old, who treasures her privacy, welding her handbag to stop a gang of six motorcycle riding thugs who were attempting to commit a "smash-and-grab" robbery in Northampton, England, on Monday. Undoubtedly, this woman symbolizes the best of Britain.

Update:

It just proofread my question, so read "welding her handbag" as "welded her handbag".

Great answers, Ichiban and Lord Lucan.

Update 2:

The woman's name, btw, is Ann Tinson.

Yes, most definitely. I watched the video clip on the news last night and she was absolutely amazing. I doubt that I would have had the courage to do what she did, I don't have a handbag anyway.

There are not many things as lethal as a granny with a handbag.

Absolutely dear Evie! Wonderful question, by the way.

Now, one has already informed Her Majesty about this episode and she was most inquisitive. So much so, that she viewed it on that 'Youtube' contraption 5 times. Now, plans are already in place to confer a Damehood on this woman. Together we shall defeat the filthy thugs and criminals who frequent our glorious Kingdom!

Yes, I think she should get some kind of award for bravery.
