Has anyone had trouble with bad car batteries from Sears after they install them?

I have had 2 new car batteries installed in my 2002 Chrysler Sebring convertible since October, now this one I am told is bad after taking the car into a Chrysler dealership to see if anything is draining the battery that would cause this to happen. Another bad battery they say...how is this possible? Anybody else have the same problem? I have had to constantly jump the battery after the car has been parked for over 7 hours. Help!

Update:

Thanks Bradleyf....the dealership did check that out. I guess I am on my way back to Sears to get ANOTHER new battery !

Update 2:

Had another battery put in today but while there Sears said their test showed an electrical draw when the battery is removed so it is a electrical problem for sure. Maybe the alarm system. Off to the dealership again tomorrow. Wish me luck ! Thanks to all that answered my question, appreciate it !

Update 3:

Update...took car back to same dealership that looked at the car yesterday. The dealership insists the problem is with the batteries that were put in each time. Hard to believe but this is the third dealership that has diagnosed the car and said it was a bad battery cell....no electrical problem ! Thanks for your answers.....

    if problem persist.

ask for refund and get another brand.

  • It could be the battery, but it may be something in the vehicle creating the problem. When the car is running, have the voltage checked at the battery to make sure it isn't over charging the battery.

Sounds like a problem other than your battery...like something draining the battery when vehicle is off.

i never had any trouble but i only had 1 and i had it for 11 yrs. if you get another battery and it goes dead you better be checking elsewhere. it sounds like you have a drain somewhere. it could be a short in the starter that,s draining it.
