Should I take Vicodin if I'm in no pain at the moment jut to go to bed?

I got all 4 of my wisdom teeth pulled out this morning. I took 1 pill of vicodin around 12 pm. It started bothering me agian around 4 and took 2 advil instead since i didn't consider the pain to be that severe. I'm ready to go to bed now and just wondering whether I should take a Vicodin or not. I just don't want to take a powerful painkiller if i don't have severe pain. What do you think?

I would take 1 vicodin before going to bed. Take another tomorrow evening. During the day, if you are okay, just take some Advil. I had one tooth pulled a few days ago, and Vicodin for the first three days helped me sleep at night. Do not continue them for too long or you can get hooked on them, though.

I advise that you go ahead and take your Vicodin pill tonight. The pill is extended release, meaning it works for hours... It will prevent pain through most of the night. Depending on how you are feeling in the morning, you should either take your Advil or Vicodin.

Good question. Keep the advil handy and some water to take it with.
