For anyone who has a favorite generic brand product, what is yours?
I think that the ShopRite brand gas relief aid is just as good as the brand name gas-x. How about yourselves?!! (However, I've found that with prescription medication such as the antidepressant, Prozac, that the generic may not work the same as the brand name.) Thanks!
The generic medications are supposed to have the same ingredients, but I notice a huge difference with the brand name and generic medications for those with mental health problems. I'd also spoken with a gentleman who had seizure disorder, and he could only use the brand name, too. Perhaps over-the-counter medicine would be okay for certain people though.

Actually both prescription & generic medication are made of the exact same things so they will work the same. The only difference is that one gets advertised therefore costing more to cover the cost of the advertising. Every doctor & pharmacist I've been to has told me this so I think I'll take their word for it. As far as my favorite generic I buy the "Great Value" brand often for things like beans, rice, etc but when I do buy soda or chips they have to be name brand because generic isn't as high quality & I can taste the difference. IMO spending money on those generic products is just wasting money not saving it & that just doesn't cut it.
