Stanley TR80 staplegun is stuck in the down position.?
The staple "Hammer" of my Stanly TR80 staplegun is stuck in the down position. Squeezing lever does not engage the mechanism now.

It is usually because there is a staple stuck behind it.
Oh, wait, the DOWN position? I believe it means your staple gun has "bit the big one" But unload it and check for stuck staple before you go shopping.

It may have a stuck staple or if it has not been used for awhile may need lubrication. Unload it and use a spray lube on it. Let it set for awhile then rap it sharply on something solid. If this does not work then throw harder or farther which ever you like.
