What is the shelf life of Butterscotch Schnapps?

I just found a half empty bottle of Buttershots that I bought about 5 or 6 months ago and forgot about. Is it still good or should I go and buy a new bottle? It smells fine, but I have no idea how long schnapps lasts after it's been opened.

It's been sitting in a cupboard above the fridge, so it has NOT been in the fridge or freezer.

    It's a good as Butterscotch Schnapps can be.

    Seriously, though, distilled spirits last a long time. This may get crusty around the cap, but should remain fine for quite some additional time.
