Is there such a thing as Legal Aid?
Sorry, I put this here because a user named Tricia posted Real estate/Rental question to which I responded that she should seek Legal Aid. Another user Pat responded that "EVAOHELL IS WRONG.
THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS FREE LEGAL ADVICE FROM SOME MYTHICAL THING CALLED "LEGAL AID"."
Apparently, I am not wrong: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Legal_aid_in_the_Unit...

I have direct experience with Legal Aid when I lived in Sacramento, Ca. They helped with a person who was wrongfully suing me. My legal aid consisted of a very jr litigator who was using Legal Aid as a way to get experience.
@Flower. Thanks. I wasn't too upset, but after a Answer is chosen, there is no way to respond...which totally sucks... :)

I am in California and have used Legal Aid myself. They require you to be lower income to have their services. They may have cut back on services. Every county should have a Legal Aid. I also got a law student for intake and a lawyer to give the definitive response to the problem.
Dont worry about what maniacs respond. You get all kinds of lunatics and half-wits on this forum. I think most people take the advice or informatin with a grain of salt.
