How do I know if a gas will dissolve to form an alkali?

I have a Chem past paper and there are four gases and I am supposed to choose the one which would dissolve to form an alkali and I have no idea which one it is or how I would work it out.

I choose best answers, thanks in advance

Update:

Thanks for the quick answer, that is what I did first but the gases are:

HBr

NH3

CO2

CH4

It may just be a case of of knowing a specific gas dissolves into an alkali and there not being a specific rule

It's easy. Just look at which one has a cation in the alkali metal group that isn't Hydrogen. It's likely that the alkali compound is being represented at a very high temperature, because technically any compound or element can exist as a gas at a high enough temperature.
