What kind of pump should I use for pumping water out of a river?

Need to water the lawn..I need to lift the water bout 60' (on a slope) with a distance of 200'.

I have electricity @ the river.

    that's a commercial farm irrigation pump....the only thing I know that can lift that high and push that far.....big $$...do you really need a 'lawn', that bad?.....

    We use a Mono Pump to pump the water from our well up to the house, it's about 150 yards and raises it about 6 meters without problem. Not a high pressure but a large volume. Although it's about 15 years old now so I don't know if they still make that sort of pump.

    I'd just buy a mexican and give him a bucket. You can find both at your local Home Depot store.
