consider the level of science education of most journalists and the public it sells news to.
non US media sources tend to be less political. Try BBC from the UK or even CBC from Canada. You still have to filter out the sensational wording of media. The Nuclear reactors have not killed anyone and in fact the news media have a background fire from gas fires while talking about nuclear.
There are good sources in the US, but only direct from NASA or Universities.
