Scars of Mirrodin is divided into two factions: Mirrian and Phyrexian. Each faction has its own symbol. Each card, except of basic lands and planeswalkers in the Scars of Mirrodin block (Scars of Mirrodin, Mirrodin Besieged, "Action" >> either called Mirrodin Pure or New Phyrexian) has a watermark in the text box area. This watermark tells you if a card is in Mirrian or PHyrexian faction.

    Mirrodin of Besieged Faction Pack:

You get 1 basic land, 10 common, 3 uncommon and 1 rare from the chosen faction. In the case of foil, you get 9 common instead and the foil is random. So it is possible to pull a Mirrian foil rare in a Phyrexian faction pack.

    Mirrodin of Besieged regular pack:

You get 1 basic land, 5 Mirrian common, 5 Phyrexian common, 3 random uncommon and 1 random rare. In the case of foil, you "lose" a random common.

Source(s): Experienced. I opened 2 boxes of faction pack and 1 box of regular booster.

the mirran and phyrexian faction pack divides mirrodin besieged by two halves. Cards with mirran watermarks only appear in mirran faction boosters and cards with phyrexian watermark only appears in phyrexian faction boosters. Foils are exception to these. And tezzeret can show up at both boosters.
