Question regarding rental application and employment?
I'm moving to a new town. I have a job there, but I was only hired today and haven't started yet. I quit my most recent job in another city halfway across the state (on good terms) a few weeks ago to accommodate the search for a new house and job - it just wasn't feasible to make the long drive in between both towns, so I'm staying in my hometown in the meantime, which is halfway between both cities.
ANYWAY, I'm filling out a rental application and I'm not sure what to put for 'current employer'. Using my last employer seems pointless, and I'm afraid that my actual current employer won't give the impression that I'm financially stable enough, and I don't want to be turned down.
What is standard procedure in situations like this?
Thanks in advance!!!

The current employer can only say that you work there, when you started and how much you earn.
