Why? Are you hoping to marry -- or, at least, fantasize about marrying -- some prince?

Alas, for you, most unmarried modern-day princes are young children. Those who aren't are pretty much seriously involved with young ladies from their own cultures and languages.

There are also some from monarchies that have been abolished. They continue to use the titles, but these have no legal or substantive meaning.

I suggest that you look through the list below. Click on a monarch's name, and on his or site, you can read about children and get their ages from their birthdates. If you click on the children's names, you may also come up with grandchildren.

Note that this list doesn't include people from no-longer-existing monarchies who may be using titles.

There are literally hundreds in Saudi Arabia. In 1917 Britain severely curtailed the use of the title Prince. Today in Britain there are only a 8:

Prince Phillip (90), Prince Edward (75) , Prince Richard (66) ,Prince Michael (68),

Prince Charles (62), Prince William(28), Prince Harry(26) and Prince James(3)

{family does not call him Prince James, but instead uses one of his lesser titles, Viscount Severn}.

    ----------------------

It has been speculated that when James turns 18, he may want to use his legal title of Prince.

The children of James will be common, but they will still be peers. That means they won't be Princes and Princesses or entitled to use the style "His/Her Royal Highness", but they will be entitled to be called Lord and Lady. If William and Harry have only girls then it is possible that there will be a period when there are very few princes. The title won't vanish forever because when one of the girls becomes reigning queen, her sons will become princes.

It is possible for the monarch to make anyone a prince, but it isn't normally done lightly. Even Phillip waited for almost 10 years of marriage before he was made a British Prince.

Why don't you just search them yourself?

Because, you know, that's what WE are going to have to do to answer this!

Just put "prince" into the search engine, or "eligible princes"
