How does the cost of living in Senegal compare to the United States?

If you make $50,000 a year in Senegal, what could you afford? Is it enough to own a home? Would you have a maid? Or is it pretty much the same as the United States?

You would be incredibly wealthy. According to Unicef the average annual income is $1040/year so if you made $50k you would be making 50 times more than the average Senegalese

In the US by contrast the average annual income is about $25k so 50 times that would be equivalent to $1.25 million
