    heat is cAUSED BY FRICTION

    I know in a microwave the molecules are agitated and they rub agaisnt themselves so fast, the friction is what makes ur food hot.

    Energy causes heat; when atoms are (energy)heated, they are excited and begin to move around a lot faster.
